Individual dog walking services
The general concept of a "dog walking service" is generally well known amongst dog owners. In The Hague and surrounding area you will find plenty. Very understandable, because with the rush of every day dogs don't always get the exercise they need. Unfortunately, the dogs we see when giving behavioural therapy, in many cases can't go on walks with these services. Also, the owner often doesn't feel comfortable sending their dog, for whatever reason, along with them. Does this sound recognizable? We could have the solution for you.
Maybe you recognize:
- Your pup being unable to walk and play for an hour yet;
- Your pup needing more personal attention for good socialization and training;
- Your dog having behavioural problems which need attention and guidance;
- Your dog not liking other dogs, be it to play or walk with them;

Our method:
We stand for a measured approach, and try to respond to the wishes and needs you and your dog may have. We look at every dog as an individual, and each individual needs another approach. Training is always part of our walks, so dogs that aren't the best listeners, can't walk off the leash (yet) or have behavioural issues are welcome. We walk with one up to a maximum of three dogs. We will discuss with you beforehand what's best for your dog.
What it is we offer:
Your dog will be walked by a certificated dog walker. We think knowledge is extremely important. After all, we're dealing with living creatures! That's why our dog walker has knowledge of breeds, behaviour and First Aid for dogs. She knows what to do would issues arise. Next to that, she's always advised by our dog behaviour expert, to guide her through possibly difficult training sessions. You are ensured of a professional approach.
Each walk is based on strengthening wanted behaviour and replacing unwanted behaviour. Punishing and correcting is not necessary, and though this may seem to be the quick method, it has some ugly side effects. That's why we use "positive" training, for dogs whom aren't just obedient, but happy as well. Next to this, we keep to the dog walking etiquettes, which you can find on our website. After all, nobody wants their dog to be a bother to others.

The intake:
If you decide to make use of our dog walking service, we will decide with you during the intake:
- If your dog will be walked alone or with one or two other dogs;
- If a long or short walked is preferred;
- Which hours and days are preferred;
- If walking off the leash is (already) a possibility and/or if this is desirable;
- Which may be the problems you face, both at home and during walks;
- What your ritual is before, during and after walking your dog;
- Whether there are any health issues we ought to keep in account;
- Which commands you'd like us to teach your dog.
It is important for you to make an appointment for this intake with us in advance of needing us, especially if you plan to make sporadical use of our services. So, should the occasion occur where you need our services unexpectedly, the papers are signed and we will know exactly what your dog needs.
Working area:
Our working area for the dog walking service contains Voorburg, Leidschendam, Leidschenveen, Nootdorp, Rijswijk, Scheveningen and a big part of the Hague.
Prices
Basic rate per walk for up to 2 dogs per household:
Between €15 and €20 excl. VAT.
Rate for more than 2 dogs per household:
Between €20 and €30 excl. VAT.
Rate for several dogs per street:
€15 excl VAT for a long walk, instead of a short one.
You can, for example, agree with neighbours somewhere in your street that your dogs, if possible, will be walked at the same time by us. This will grant you both a discount.
